Strobe

Wow.. Already a month? The time has gone very fast, because I've been busy. AND HEARING MUSIC! YEAH!
And a band, that I've heard a lot, is Strobe.
They're two guys from the UK, making music together. It doesn't look like anyone really have heard their electro/house (and a little bit of acid) music, but I am already a HUGE fan. Their style is very unique. Sweet synths, sidechain beats and microsamples, that makes the breaks even more hard!
They are going to release an EP soon called "Defence EP". I will clearly make a review on this blog, when it's released.
Yesterday, they made all the tracks on their SoundCloud downloadable.

My favorites is "Cosmic Vibe", "Prophecy" and "Destroy". Check 'em out!

Cosmic Vibe by Strobe.
Prophecy by Strobe.
Destroy by Strobe.

See you soon!

The Another World.. According to The Chemical Brothers

I have just brought the new EP from The Chemical Brothers.
It is very sweet. They have loads of new electro/house synths and drum sounds.
They don't have a lot of those old school hip hop beats anymore, and that's a bit a shame, I think.
NOTE: It's only the radio edit that is on the EP. Not the original track, unfortunately..

I was a bit sad that the original "Swoon" wasn't on the EP, because of the remixes of it and it's a wonderful track, but.. well.. that's not the end of the world.

When it comes to the Boys Noize Summer Remix of "Swoon" my mind was blown.
He's very classic remixing style with the piano sample, really fit to the track, and makes it not only electronic, but a bit popped too. Sometimes that is good, and sometimes that is bad.. In this case, it's VERY GOOD!

The Lindstrøm and Prins Thomas remix of "Swoon" was.. well.. my opinion is that it was okay, but I'm not very much into the norwegian electronic music. I think it's a bit too popped. But the remix had some very good basslines and synths, so it wasn't bad.

And finally, the Horse Power remix by Popof.
Sweet track. Minds very much of Erol Alkan of Boys Noize. Very nice bass, cool synths and ass kicking drums! I really, really like it.

Time for some Stardust remix!

I was surfing around some Stardust videos on YouTube, and found these two mixes:
Stardust - Music Sounds Better with You [DiscoTech Mix]

Stardust - Music Sounds Better with You [On Off On Remix]

I was like "Wow". I really haven't heard a remix of Music Sounds Better with You.
And these two are truly AMAZING!
After hearing the first remix, I listened to a lot other remixes. But I really didn't liked then in the same way as the DiscoTech remix. I thought they didn't had enough of the original in it.
Then I felt over the On Off On mix.. That was almost better than the DiscoTech mix.
So I just posted both of them, so you can choose your favorite.

I'm back!

I haven't posted really anything in August, so here comes some freaking music!

REMIXes OF THE WEEK month!
This remix of the *month* is changed to TWO REMIXES OMG!

The first remix is a Dr. Sleek of Two Door Cinema Club's "What You Know".
Actually, I didn't knew I had this in my iTunes libary until I was playing around and looking for some of my old music.
I thought I had heard it before in a live set or someting, but I really freaking much like this track!
Tho Door Cinema Club - What You Know (Dr. Sleek remix)

The second remix is of a Lady GaGa track. You might have heard "Alejandro", and you might have heard Skrillex' "WEEKEND!!" IF you take Skrillex and Lady GaGa and combine them into a "Alejandro (Skrillex remix)".. You'll get seriously eargasm.
No matter what, Lady GaGa ain't my type of music, but this track kicks fucking ASS!

Just a Band

I was searching in the iTunes Store yesterday, and found this.
Just a Band - Burn It Out! EP.
The entire EP is simply genius. The style is different, but sounds still much like Boys Noize and Justice.
The tracks is pumped with heavy bass lines, high synths and computer voices. And of cause a lot of breaks and effects!
This EP will fit very good in a french electronic DJ set, because this is very party music!

I really like the first track called "Burn It Out!". I can't sit still when I hear it on my iPod in my little crappy room.

Don't pirate!

Crash EP. New release form Eumig & Chinon.

Hey, guys.
The 24th July0, Eumig & Chinon released he's first EP, called "Crash EP", in he's own record label, Coy Boy Records.
The danish musican and producer, Eumig & Chinon, has within a short amount of time made a mark on the French House scene with energetic live shows and a fresh sound.
The name "Eumig & Chinon" makes you think "Who are they?". Eumig & Chinon ain't "they", but "he", also called Christian Kastbjerg. He started Eumig & Chinon in 2006.

The very disco/house-genre, that sounds much like Justice, is definitely my absolute favorite style of house, and here in little Denmark, we (as in "people not like me") don't hear that house, so I was very surprised first time I saw him on BandBase.

Anyways, back to the EP.
If you like french house, this is a must.
Many people only like the style from the late 90's, and that's okay. But people who don't even want to give the "new" french house.. Haven't heard this.
Thumbs up for Christian!
(And DON'T PIRATE)

Mix of the week, by me.

This remix of the week is actually by me.
It's a club mix of Boys Noize's "Feel Good (TV=OFF)". I thought that the original was pretty boring in the length, so I pumped it a bit up. I really love the squeezy main synth, but I totally forgot the vocal. Maybe I'll make another mix.. WITH THE VOX !! (:
